Hi! I am Thess Ladrido from the country where one can find some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and probably some of the friendliest people too-the Philippines! I am currently the High School Assistant Principal for Academics in Xavier School, a Jesuit-run private school for boys of Chinese-Filipino descent, as well as the Extended Essay Coordinator for the IB Diploma Program which we have only started to offer in 2010. Before being in charge of academic affairs in the high school, I served as our school's English Department Coordinator for 6 years, before which I taught fresmmen and junior high English for 7 years. My first love is really teaching reading and writing to the middle schoolers, and this is one of the reasons why I am very excited to get to know more about the Middle Years Program. Being exposed to the DIploma Program has also allowed me to experience teaching the IB way and it taught me a lot of things about what it means to be a relevant and dynamic educator.
